Khloe, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner grilled at the Met Gala

It was a great year for the kardashians to make a splash at the Met Gala, the annual over-the-top costume ball held to benefit the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. After all, the stars of the famous family have never looked brighter with the premiere of their new Hulu docuseries, Kim Kardashian’s high-profile relationship with Pete Davidson and Kourtney’s recent engagement to Travis Barker.
It was also the first Met appearance for Khloe and Kourtney. But despite expectations, the famous sisters intrigued onlookers as they walked down the red carpet.
Completely ignoring the “Gilded Glamour” theme of the event, Khloe wore a disappointingly long shimmering gold dress that wasn’t exactly up to Met Gala standards. Kylie Jenner inexplicably wore a mismatched wedding dress paired with a backwards white baseball cap and attached veil.
Kourtney, meanwhile, associated high fashion with business casual.
Surprisingly, it didn’t take long for Khloe, Kylie and Kourtney’s outfits to go viral. Although Kim hasn’t shown yet (literally wearing Marilyn Monroe’s “Happy Birthday Mr. President” dress), fans were already memorizing her potential reaction.
More than a few people have used Euphoria memes to express their feelings about the sisters’ outfits.
And of course there were a lot of the devil wears Prada memes too.
But while Khloe and Kourtney’s outfits left a lot to be desired, Kylie’s creative portrayal has been compared to everything from Homer Simpson to James Corden.
Like Kim, Kendall Jenner, on the other hand, seemed to make a separate entrance from her other sisters for obvious reasons.
We can’t all lend Marilyn Monroe’s dress, but maybe Kim and Kendall can give their siblings some fashion advice before they attempt another one of these events. If Anna Wintour invites them back, of course.
