Kiera Knightley’s entire quarantine wardrobe was Chanel
Proving that sometimes celebrities are definitely not 100% like us, said Keira Knightley Harper’s Bazaar United Kingdom that her quarantine closet wasn’t athleisure or even dressy pajamas. No, with most people leaning towards loungewear, Knightley decided lockdown would be a great time to bring out all the Chanel she’s collected over the years.
Knightley explained that she wanted to enjoy the things she has in her closet, instead of dwelling on the “apocalyptic and scary” vibes outside of her Chanel-clad world. It was for her child, she added, saying she also dressed her little one with Chanel ribbons braided in her hair and took the opportunity to dress him in costumes.
“I put on lipstick every day, and every piece of Chanel I have in my closet, and my daughter Edie had Chanel ribbons braided through her hair and her fairy wings,” she said.

It helps that Knightley has been the face of Chanel’s Coco Madamoiselle fragrance since 2007. There is plenty of time for her to have tweed jackets, couture dresses and more in her closet. Even her wedding dress was Chanel.
“I was like, ‘What’s the point of those pretty things sitting in the closet, when it’s pretty apocalyptic and scary outside? “It was so important to be really happy for the kids!” she explained.
Knightley’s husband James Righton also skipped the tracksuits. Knightley added that he also had fun in high fashion, wearing his “range of Gucci peacock-colored suits” while mom and daughter were decked out in their designer items.
Righton and Knightley share two daughters: Edie, 6, and Delilah, 1.
